You love pets and would also love to feed them appropriately. So it is required that your pet gets all the essential vitamins, proteins and minerals. The ingredient which is required in large amount by the dogs is the calcium content. Calcium for dogs forms the base of bones and teeth. The body of dog requires a certain amount of calcium which needs to be fulfilled daily.

Doctors while suggesting a diet plan always give a proportion of 2:1 which means 2 parts of Calcium to 1 part of Phosphorous. This ratio is of calcium to phosphorous. If the required proportion is maintained then the problems related to calcium don’t occur. Similarly, sources rich in providing Vitamin D should be included in the diet. Sources of Vitamin D should be included because it helps in the synthesis of Calcium.
